Jay Asahguii is an associate with the firm. Jay graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Francis College in 2007 with a BA in English and received his Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 2010.

While still in law school, Jay served clerkships with both a New York State Supreme Court Justice and a United States District Court Judge. Jay also served as a Legislative Investigator with the New York City Council.

Jay, who holds Airframe and Powerplant Certificates from the Federal Aviation Administration, was previously associated with a New York City firm where he practiced federal compliance, product liability, premises liability, commercial liability, and insurance defense.

Jay joined Gaines, Novick, Ponzini, Cossu & Venditti, LLP as a senior associate in 2014.

In addition to his defense experience, Jay has expanded his practice to include personal injury, employment discrimination, residential and commercial real estate, medical malpractice and air disaster litigation.

Jay is also on the attorney panel of the Pace Women’s Justice Center, providing representation to women of moderate means in matters of matrimonial and family law.
